Rising Australian duo Armlock have revealed their new album, Seashell Angel Lucky Charm, and its freshest single, ‘Guardian’. The pair draw the listener in with effortless melodies, bright guitar lines and warm harmonies, before filtering their sound through the influence of their experimental electronic background. The end result is a delightfully sparse arrangement filled with ambiguity and eccentricity. The track is “about the desire for guidance as an uncertain future appears closer, and looking around at life in the present for answers. The song describes desperately looking for a guiding grace through a general sense of spirituality, or at least a heightened awareness of higher frequencies.” Seashell Angel Lucky Charm is due for release on July 12th, 2024, and is filled with 18 minutes of their trademark brand of impressionistic indie rock. -Dan Peeke
